Yearling made 23 times the nomination fee

The World famous Karaka yearling sale started today, the 25th of January in New Zealand. Buyers from all over the world were present.
Reliable Man had an excellent sale – leading first season sire!
Top lot was a colt, sold for 340.000 NZD (203.000 €) and a filly made 320.000 NZD (191.000 €)
8 yearlings were sold on day 1 in the Premier Sale for an average price of 200.000 NZD
A return of an extraordinary 13 times the New Zealand nomination fee of 15.000 NZD ( 9.000 €   )

 

Both colts and the fillies were in high demand. Most yearlings will go to race in Australia. Top 10 Lots:
